knowing purpose

I think you're getting caught in the false belief that knowing your purpose means you have to be able to verbalize it.

What other options are there?
If we can't have certainty, and we can't have verbalization, what do we have? We have fuzzy feelings that are impossible to know are correct and which we can't remind ourselves of. Sounds rather wishy-washy, though perhaps the best representation of reality.
