Now, don't use up all your energy before you actually start writing the novel. If I sign up for the NaNoWriMo, I may use this myself.
Right now, all the help tips say "Erik Benson, fill this out..." How do you change that to show your own name?

I'm not sure how to change the name in the comments though, I went through and changed them all to use a more generic address (it would've been good for my brand though to have everyone know my name). If you want, you can right-click and edit each of the comments--but it doesn't seem to draw the name from the File > Properties name unfortunately.
You better participate. Just go sign up now. The longer you wait the more difficult it will be to convince yourself. I am really impressed with the effects that the parameters of this competition have had on me so far. They have inspired creativity and temporary changes to my lifestyle, it's rare that you get to change yourself for some interesting (if largely manufactured) reason. There should be something like this for other things as well.
Of course, I've already volunteered to help out with next year's website.
